Invasives

The California Invasive Plant Council has classified plants on this page as invasive with impact on native ecosystems or the Federal Government has classified them as noxious weeds.

Many of these plants pose serious fire threats, all are aggressive invaders with few if any natural checks on their spread. In an effort to mitigate fire risk and protect the rich native biodiversity of Homestead, the Land Trust spends considerable time and energy removing these plants.

Dive deep with some of our invasive plants featured in articles published in the Homestead Headlines.
